LIFT FOR STRENGTH

M / W / F - 8AM

Build strength and speed with explosive movements. Conditioning work is to be expected.

(Lifters should have some experience)

POWERLIFTING FOUNDATIONS

TU/TR 7PM

Develop skills to properly squat, bench and deadlift.

(Novice and beginner lifters)

POWERLIFTING

M / W/ F- 5PM ADVANCED

M / W - 7PM INTERMEDIATE

Work on bench, squat and deadlift strength and efficiency.

(Intermediate, advanced and competitive lifters) 

POWERBUILDING & CONDITIONING

(NEW CLASS)

M/W/F 6PM

General strength training and conditioning. Class will cover all powerlifting movements with a focus on squat, bench, deadlift and accessories. For all levels.

OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING

M/TU/TH 6PM

Perform snatch and clean and jerk movements. Learn to maximize your strength and improve dynamic and explosive power.

(Intermediate, advanced and competitive lifters)

OLYMPIC LIFTING FOUNDATIONS AND DRILLS 4 week program STARTING SEPTEMBER MUST REGISTER

TUESDAY & THURSDAY 6PM

Develop skills to properly snatch and clean and jerk.

(Novice and beginner)

This 2200 square foot subterranean facility offers all you need to get strong. Learn the fundamentals of weightlifting and challenge your body with every workout.

Coaches

AIM is owned and operated by Linda Chungchootairong. She is a competitive Olympic weightlifter and powerlifter with 12 years of personal training experience. She has a Masters in Sports Psychology, a Bachelor's in Kinesiology and is also an U.S. Army veteran. Her dream was to open a female friendly lifting gym.

GETTING STARTED

MEMBERSHIP

A monthly membership allows you access to specific programs. The training week runs from Monday-Friday with open gym and team training on the weekends. Athletes are welcome to do open gym during the week as long as it does not interfere with ongoing classes.

Cost:

$150/1 session per week for 4 classes/month

$275/2 sessions per week for 8 classes/month

$300/3 sessions per week for 12 classes/month

The program you chose is dependent on your goals which you will discuss with your coach. Fitness goals are constantly changing therefore you will have the freedom to move between programs although it is recommended that you stick to one program for at least 4 to 6 weeks.

PERSONAL TRAINING

AIM also offers personal training and small group workouts. This is a great option for those who want more individual attention or preparing for an event. Email to schedule a consultation.

NON-MEMBERS / DROP-INS

$40 class drop-ins

New members can register though the link below. 

Steve Rogers is AIM’s head weightlifting coach with years of coaching experience in multiple sports. Coach Rogers is also a competitive athlete himself. He’s extremely attentive to detail and knowledgable in a lifting practices. He will make you a better athlete.

Jaqueline Ramirez is an assistant powerlifting and olympic lifting coach. She specializes in functional training and coaches athletes of all ages.

Upcoming Events

*Labor Day schedule: Monday September 2, 2019. Classes will be combined for an open gym session beginning at 11AM-1PM. Arrive at 11am to lift. No other classes will be held that day.

As of Friday August 30, 2019 ALL CLASSES will be held at 565 6th Street.

Starting September 3, 2019 An Iron Movement will host a 4 week Introduction to Olympic Lifting on Tuesday and Thursdays from 6PM-7PM. This class is for novice and beginner lifters ONLY. Email Linda@opengymsf.com to reserve your spot.

An Iron Movement for Women: New class for women who want to strength train. Class starts September 3, 2019 and ends September 26 8, 2019. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5PM-6:15PM. Late comers will not be admitted must RSVP. The classes will be held at 565 6th Street/Brannan. There will be NO make up classes. Come on time and be ready to lift!

August 31, 2019 is the last day to register for September’s training block at An Iron Movement 565 6th Street.
